Learning Experience
I'll try google maps saved, and also will search for a free rating plug-in.
I do plan to use this site for my food photography so I'm working hard on learning how to customize wordpress.
This was a good experience overall in something I will use again.

I love almond, I love chai. Now I can really customize my page.
The most trouble I was having was the my php admin page and directing my domain to my hosting site. That took a long time to figure out where to get all the information.

I love typography
Upscale Typography
I think this is a great website to keep updated on issues of typography.
Typography should be considered carefully in web design and not just treated as another element, but something tying the piece together.
Sometimes bad typography ruins a website and we as web designers need to be aware of that.

Scope Outline
Intro Content: Welcome to my Sim City fan-based website. I hope that through this website you can learn more about this game and its possibilities.
About: In this site you will find a indepth tutorial of how to work Sim City, and a gallery overview of the kinds of cities you can create.
What: What is Sim City? Sim City is a city-building simulation computer game created by Maxis games. The
Maxis company is more currently famous for their Sims games which is more about creating humans and
Personal interaction. Maxis specializes in simulation games of all sorts such as roller coasters, buildings,
people and even whole organisms (SPORE).
Simcity overview: The objective of SimCity, as the name of the game suggests, is to build and
design a city, without specific goals to achieve (except in the scenarios, see below). The player
can mark land as being zoned as commercial, industrial, or residential, add buildings, change the tax rate,
build a power grid, build transportation systems and many other actions, in order to enhance the city (Wikipedia).
TUTORIAL: As you can see you first start off with a map of land where you can choose to place your city.
When you choose a spot, you can render the land to how you see fit.
In this Picture I show you all the aspects of the game that appear when you first start. It may seem daunting at first, but it gets easier as you start.
Here is a Youtube video showing a start up tutorial to Sim City.

Sim City 4
Communication Brief
1.)
The basic overview of this site is to give beginners an overview of
what Sim City 4 and what they can create in the game. Sim City 4 is a
simulation game where users can create cities and must maintain them
accordingly as a real city planner would.
2.)
The single purpose of this site is to show people the potential of
Sim City 4.
3.)
The secondary goal is to get people to interested in playing the game
and interact with others.
4.)
Long-term goal maybe for people to show off their cities underneath
different categories.
Audience Profile:
1.)
My audience is the casual gamer looking for creation based games to
play on their computer. My average audience would probably be those
who want to see what Sim City can do or they themselves play the
game.
2.)
A typical task the user might perform is browsing the various cities
other users create and how the user could improve their city and so
forth.
3.)
I want the user to see this site as a friendly and simple way of
getting introduced the game, and a place where they can visit
repeatedly and interact with other people.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines
1.)
I want them to feel at ease through browsing through my site, and
feel at ease on posting their content on the site.
2.)
I hope to be able to design the site in such a way that people are
not intimidated by the amount of information presented to them.
3.)
Fan Friendly, but still professional and caring.
4.)
The website should have many images, but still be able to load fast
and quickly.
Communication Strategy:
1.)
This is a site where people can get together and show their city
plans. It will also be easy for first time users to get acquainted
with the game.
2.)
I will convey the message on the first home-page and perhaps through
the title.
3.)
When people can navigate it easily.
Competitive Positioning:
1.)
My company will differ in that it will appeal to the Sim City
beginner who just want to look at visuals in a comprehensive place. I
might compile a list of places where people can find information
easily without having to search through many sites at once. The
current sites are heavy competition since they already have a large
fan-base and more resources complied than I do.
